MikroTik CCR1036-8G-2S+EM (CCR1036-8G-2S+EM)

Mikrotik fastest router has now become even better - the new CCR1036-8G-2S+EM now has two SFP+ ports for 10G interface support (SFP+ module available separately). It uses the same 36 core Tilera CPU as Mikrotik other CCR1036 model and delivers the same performance, but now, ten-gigabit links are possible.

The device comes in a 1U rackmount case, has two SFP+ ports, eight Gigabit ethernet ports, a serial console cable, and a USB port. The CCR1036-8G-2S+EM has two SODIMM slots, by default it is shipped with 16GB of RAM.

The high-performance rack network router features 8 Gigabit ports, 2 SFP + ports for 10 Gbps connections, and 2 redundant power supplies. Built on a 36-core processor to control large networks with high bandwidth requirements, and is designed to handle the most complex routing and management tasks. Handles 41.5 Mpps in Fast path mode and provides a total throughput of all ports up to 28 Gbps.

Each of its ports is connected directly to the Tilera network processor. At the same time, the ports do not share the bandwidth, which guarantees the best performance and highest reliability. The processor supports hardware-accelerated IPsec encryption and can also be used as a high-performance VPN gateway to provide optimal encryption between critical points without sacrificing connection speed.

This is the second version of the device. Compared to the previous one, the power supply received an improved design, and a second one (with a redundancy function) was added, an M.2 connector appeared, the micro-USB port was replaced with a full-size one, a general increase in service life, efficiency and reliability was made.
