Powerful Enterprise Switch Model
The high-performance UniFi Switch 48-500W is the solution for large, traffic-intensive networks. With a large computational resource, the model is positioned as an efficient and fault-tolerant switching node. It has 48 Gigabit ports and supports PoE, with 802.3af/at devices detected and powered up automatically, but PoE Passive can also be manually configured.
The main advantage is the presence of a powerful power supply unit for 500W, which allows you to connect and supply power to many devices. Its power is more than enough to connect several dozen PoE client devices, it should be noted that the model supports not only Passive PoE 24V, but also 802.3at/af standards, due to which it becomes universal and can be used in conjunction with many devices. Nevertheless, it should be taken into account that the indicators on the port can't exceed 34.2W when using PoE+, and 17W when using Passive PoE 24V.
To prevent overheating of the switch, the developers have provided a high-quality cooling system. Depending on the current temperature, the cooler can work in one of 4 modes, which provides good heat dissipation and maintains the device performance even during peak loads.
Advanced Port Management
Each switch port offers custom settings: port name, PoE, network/VLAN configuration, and operation mode (switching, mirroring, or aggregate) - as well as 802.1X Authentication and Radius VLAN support.
Convenient PoE+ Support
The UniFi® Switch features auto-sensing IEEE 802.3af/at PoE to power multiple devices on the network.
Optical Fiber Connectivity
Two SFP ports support uplinks of up to 1 Gbps. For high-capacity uplinks, each 48-port model includes two SFP+ ports for uplinks of up to 10 Gbps.
